Recently, MCC5 secured the contract for the construction and installation works of the Green Hydrogen Storage Coupled with Calcium-Based Chlorine Solidification Environmental Treatment Project at Qinghai Salt Lake Magnesium Co., Ltd.
The project is situated within the Magnesium Industrial Park of Qinghai Salt Lake Magnesium Co., Ltd. in Haixi Prefecture, Qinghai Province. Construction scope includes: limestone grinding and pulping systems, hydrochloric acid neutralisation systems, hydrogen production systems, hydrogen storage facilities, civil engineering works for integrated pipeline networks, installation works, and individual unit commissioning.
This initiative represents one of the inaugural key projects undertaken by China Minmetals following its integration into China Salt Lake Industry Group. It constitutes a major research and application endeavour for China Salt Lake, advancing the integrated development of its world-class salt lake industrial base and national clean energy hub within Qinghai's ‘Four Regions’ industrial strategy. The project accelerates the transformation and upgrading of its Qinghai Huixin subsidiary while establishing a flexible production model for salt chemical processing. Upon completion, it will provide critical support for China Salt Lake's sustainable development.
