On 19 November, Zhang Gang, Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager of MCC5 Group, held working discussions with Mr. Truong Viet Dong, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Expressway Investment and Development Corporation (VEC), at MCC5 tower.

Zhang Gang welcomed the delegation led by Zhang Yuedong and provided a brief overview of China MCC5 Group's development. He highlighted that the company is a large-scale integrated enterprise group specialising in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), steel structure and prefabrication, real estate development, and project investment. Holding five special-grade and six Class A qualifications, it possesses industry-leading technical, management, and credit advantages alongside full-industry-chain service capabilities. The Group has created numerous classic products hailed as ‘industry miracles,’ earning widespread acclaim from governments and all sectors of society. China and Vietnam share a mountainous and riverine border, with their peoples bound by a long-standing traditional friendship. In this new era, the two nations are jointly building a strategically significant China-Vietnam Community with a Shared Future, presenting valuable opportunities for China MCC5 Group's development in Vietnam. As the main force and national team in Vietnam's transport infrastructure development and construction, Vietnam Expressway Investment and Development Corporation looks forward to strengthening communication and interaction between the two parties, gradually establishing a close partnership, and jointly contributing to Vietnam's economic and social development.
Zhang Yuedong expressed gratitude for Zhang Gang's warm hospitality, noting that Vietnam has launched large-scale infrastructure projects this year spanning key sectors including transportation, urban development, and technological R&D, with a focus on upgrading infrastructure. As a state-owned enterprise under Vietnam's Ministry of Transport, Vietnam Expressway Investment and Development Corporation is primarily responsible for the investment, construction, and operational management of expressway projects within Vietnam. He expressed anticipation for enhanced exchanges and cooperation with China's state-owned construction giants like China MCC5 Group, leveraging complementary strengths and shared resources to achieve mutual benefit and win-win outcomes.
